Troop 31822 partner with Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum for exhibit.
“I wanted to show them what it takes to work in a museum and preserve artifacts, what the thought process behind displaying artifacts are and the basics of research.” said Goodrum.
Girl Scouts from Troop 31822 dropped off toys at Oakland’s Children’s Hospital on December 13. The toys were collected from their first ever breakfast with Santa event that they hosted as a free community event at the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum on December 6th. The girls donated crafts, a free pancake breakfast, and Santa photos and asked the community attending to bring unwrapped toys for the children’s hospital.
The girls also got together and went shopping at target for additional toys to donate.
Troop 31822 proudly participated in the Box Boat Derby at the Antioch Water Park with 22 entries. The girls not only showcased their creativity and teamwork but also walked away with Second Place and the award for Most Creative Boat!
"We had an amazing afternoon on Saturday with Girl Scout Troop 31822! 💚The girls shared what Girl Scouts means to them and highlighted some of their incredible accomplishments. They take great pride in serving their community through food and toy drives, laying flags at cemeteries, and hosting a Breakfast with Santa. This troop also has a passion for travel—they’ve already visited Disneyland and are working toward an exciting trip to Hawaii next year! 🌺"
We absolutely loved our visit as well, we got to help during bingo time, share stories about Girl Scouts - there were a few ladies who were Girl Scouts as well!
